Common questions about grant applications
Can MeriApply write a grant application for me?
MeriApply drafts each section from the evidence in your vault and cites it, so every claim points back to a document you uploaded. You review and edit every draft, then submit it yourself or approve it for auto-submit where the funder allows it.
Does MeriApply cover both research and business grants?
Yes. Pro+ adds research grant and business grant applications, with examples including Wellcome Trust and Innovate UK. They are not included in the Free or Pro plans.
How does MeriApply handle a grant funder's AI policy?
MeriApply checks each funder's AI policy and shows it before you start. Where a funder prohibits AI, you get outline mode only, with no AI-generated drafts, and automatic submission is blocked for that funder.
What happens if a claim in my draft has no evidence?
It is marked as unverified so you can fix it or remove it. MeriApply flags unsupported claims rather than inventing them.
Does MeriApply guarantee I will win funding?
No. Funders make their own decisions and MeriApply does not guarantee an award or any other outcome. It helps you present your real evidence clearly, and you review every draft first.
Is my data secure?
MeriApply is UK GDPR compliant and registered with the ICO. Documents are encrypted in transit and at rest, they are never used to train AI models, and you can delete your vault and account at any time.
