Check your CV

What are you applying for?

Read in memory and never stored. We don't keep your file, text or results.

What the instant check looks at

Eleven checks across four areas, each worth a fixed number of points. Your score is simply the share of points earned, and every finding says why.

  • Structure

Length against UK norms, the sections reviewers look for, and whether your contact details are there. We confirm they exist without ever showing them back.

  • Impact

How many achievements carry a number, percentage or £ amount, and whether your bullets lead with a strong verb rather than "Responsible for".

  • Clarity

Generic phrases, buzzword density, overuse of "I" and "my", and bullets too long to skim.

  • Consistency

British versus American spelling, mixed "-ise" and "-ize" endings, and date formats that change from line to line.

Your CV stays yours

Your file is read in memory to pull out the text, checked, and discarded when the response is sent. We don't save it to storage, write it to a database or record its text in our logs. Contact details are only checked for, never shown back.

AI feedback works the same way, with one difference: the result is cached for 24 hours, keyed by a fingerprint of the text, so checking the same CV again is instant. After that it is gone.

When you're ready to apply, MeriApply can draft applications from your own documents, with every claim citing where it came from. See how drafting works
